7/10 - 7/15 Junior & U23 Canoe Slalom World Championships
	The International Canoe Federation’s 2012 Junior Canoe Slalom World Championships will take place July 10-15, 2012 on the Wisconsin River in downtown Wausau, Wisconsin, USA. The world’s best young paddlers under age 18 from more than 30 countries are expected to compete. The ICF’s first U23 Canoe Slalom World Championships for competitors ages 18-23 will take place in conjunction with the Junior Canoe Slalom World Championships. More Info.

9/1 - 9/2 Jim Falls Sturegeon Fest - Down River Races
	Swiftwater and Flatwater races. Whitewater race - half mile class 2 to 3 rapids OC-1 / K-1 race. Registration will begin at 11AM Sept.1st, race will begin at 2PM. You are pre-registered if you attend one or more of the Jim Falls Safety Days. Prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd will be announced at the beer garden after the race. Flat water race starts at 2:30PM. 5 miles of flat water with prizes for 1st, 2nd, best dressed, most unique color of boat, most garbage collected etc. Free lunch, camping, entertainment etc. Sept. 1st. 9AM - 1PM classic car show Noon - 2AM beer garden 2PM - 5PM white water boat race 2:30PM - 5PM flat water canoe/kayak race 5PM - 7PM music at beer garden (T B A) 5PM - 7PM results for races at beer garden 7PM - 11PM Nat'l Truck Pull (big boys)
